friday has been brought to you by....stripes.

Good morning,

Stripes seem to be a theme for me on Fridays. Simple as it is, I've been looking forward to wearing this combo all week. I'm also showing off the necklace that I won during ThriftMomma's giveaway. I used fashion tape to secure the necklace to my shirt so the flowers wouldn't flop around. Before yesterday I had never used fashion tape, and I think I may have found my new best wardrobe-friend :)

Do you all have any plans for this weekend? I'm hoping to clean out a couple dresser drawers and go through my closet, and then just relax with my grandmother. Have a good weekend!

Striped tee: Lane Bryant ($16, November 2009)
Jeans: Gap Outlet ($35.99, July 2010)
Brown flats: Frye via DSW ($22ish, 2008)
Necklace: Giveaway from ThriftyMomma

The necklace gives a simple outfit a bit more interest if I do say so myself...:) You know you can Iron it and starch it too...if you want a stiffer necklace:)Love those shoes in the traveling scarf post!

I adore how the stripes look painted on - such a cute quirk on the trend.

Good idea with the starch! I didn't think of that. I think I'll skip the iron because I'm afraid I would burn the crap out of the necklace. Me and irons don't play nice together :)

Thanks Katie!

Hi Allison-Thank you! I'm going to experiment with fashion tape and some of my lower cut dresses (I'm slow to catch on to this amazing thing).

BBM-Thank you :)
